Julian was one of Ireland’s leading talent agents and choreographers and built a hugely successful career in the entertainment industry both at home and abroad. Having lived with cystic fibrosis all his life, he established the Foundation to provide much needed services for CF patients and their families. His motto was “Life is not a dress rehearsal, so live your best life.”

SARAH MCKENNA – Director/Trustee/Secretary

Sarah McKenna has 24 years’ experience in the high-tech business sector. She has worked extensively across the telecoms and software sectors and enjoys taking businesses from incubation to multi-million dollar companies.

Currently working at Microsoft, Sarah embraces their culture of ‘Empowering every person and business on the planet to achieve more’. Working with The Julian Benson CF Foundation, Sarah hopes to help CF patients achieve their full potential. It is a cause she has been passionate about since the age of 14, when she met her best friend and CF sufferer, Julian Benson.

DERVILLE MEADE  – Director/Trustee

With 24 years of experience in the veterinary, laboratory & equine breeding industries, Derville (wife of Noel Meade, Racehorse Trainer) uses her business marketing & managing skills, along with her drive & enthusiasm, to create fundraising events for the Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, inspired by her close friendship with the JBCFF founder, Julian.  Through these fundraisers, Derville aims to provide much-needed support and services to CF warriors and their families.

Ciara Darcy Kennedy   – Director/Trustee

Ciara has been an active volunteer for the Foundation since its inception in 2018 and has been the indispensable event planner for the Winter Wonderland Gala Ball for many years. She brings great dedication and strong organisational skills to her role on the Board, along with a deeply personal commitment to supporting families affected by cystic fibrosis. Having lost her brother to CF, Ciara cares deeply about helping other families and is passionate about making a genuine difference in their lives.
