In 2020, with the help of a generous benefactor, we will open a 10 Bedroom en-suite accommodation facility in Dublin 4, close to St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Our aim is to keep families and loved ones close, whilst a person with CF is treated in hospital. Often, family members are unable to visit or incur significant expense trying to simply support their loved one. We believe that life with Cystic Fibrosis can be difficult enough and we want to make these small home comforts available to take some of the burden away during an already stressful time.
The accommodation will be opened later in 2020 and rooms will be available only through the social care team and a referral process in the hospitals, which we are currently working on with healthcare specialists.
We’d like to thank our generous benefactor for donating the use of these 10 bedrooms, over 365 nights per year, which stands to save CF families approximately €600,000 per year in accommodation costs. Thank you also to our generous donors and fundraisers. We could not provide this facility without you.
